There are many options available today for preexposure prophylaxis (PrEP), including the recent release of Yeztugo (lenacapavir), a twice-yearly subcutaneous injection.
Today’s therapies build on past pharmaceutical developments, many of which are covered in this clip of Julie Kendle, senior director of clinical pharmacy at IPD Analytics, explaining their clinical efficacy, safety administration and adherence considerations.
Kendle presented today at the 2026 annual meeting of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) in Nashville, Tennessee. It is being held from April 13-16.
She spoke during a session called ‘Next-Generation HIV PrEP: Therapeutic Advances, Adherence Optimization and Policy Updates for Managed Care.’
